SIXMAN HEAVEN 2018 PHOTO CONTEST
CALL FOR ENTRIES!
OVER $5000 WORTH OF PRIZES AND DONATIONS!
The 10th annual SIXMAN HEAVEN CONTEST is now open for entries! This year’s contest is the easiest ever with one format to consider: PHOTOS!! We welcome you to submit your favorite photos and win donations for your schools! th ANNUAL CONTEST!
ENTER THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
PEOPLE, TOWN, SPORTS, BLACK AND WHITE, and FAVES
For each of the 5 categories, there will be a 1st,2nd, and 3rd prize winner. Prize donations will be awarded to the schools (not directly to the students). Additional prizes may be awarded according to judges’ opinions. Students may submit in more than one category but may submit ONLY one photo per category.
1st PLACE PRIZE: $600 DONATION TO YOUR SCHOOL
2ND PLACE PRIZE: $250 DONATION TO YOUR SCHOOL
3RD PLACE PRIZE: $100 DONATION TO YOUR SCHOOL
Each winning student will receive a trophy and t-shirt!
To submit your entry:
Send your photo to sixmanheaven@gmail.com.
In the subject line, say “2018 CONTEST” and include which category you are entering.
Within the body of the email, give your name, your teacher sponsor’s name, your school, your grade level and the school’s address. All photo entries must have a teacher sponsor’s name.
The 2018 contest is open to ALL grade levels.
PEOPLE
This category should include photos of the people in your community—at work, school, or church. Remember that the best photos of people can be made when they aren’t posing for the picture!
TOWN
Focus on the town around you, the buildings, the landscape, the streets. Keep in mind that angles within the photos create dramatic effects, along with lighting contrasts of bright and dark. What makes your town unique?
SPORTS
Action. Players. Fans. Engage us with what’s going on with your football, basketball, or any other team!
BLACK AND WHITE
All smart phones have the option to create black and white photos. B/W photography relies greatly on good contrasts between light and dark shadows. Think about your composition; feel free to crop photos as needed.
FAVES
This category includes any random photo that doesn’t necessarily fit the subjects already listed. If it’s a good shot of your dog or a bird, a hamburger or an oil derrick, anything that you feel is a great photo, one that is your personal favorite—please enter it. Judges may also select winners from the previous categories.
